This is how I serve my community
Hello there, I have been a Notary Public in the great state of Nevada since 2020. It’s actually my 2nd time around because I took a few years off to take care of family. I am a retired REALTOR. I am a Notary2Pro Elite Graduate and I have a distinct honor to being Cannabis Certified to cater to the Cannabis industry for their very specialized needs. I am a member of the National Notary Association (NNA), the American Association of Notaries (AAN), and American Society of Notaries (ASN). I am background checked through the NNA. I also mentor several new notaries throughout the United States just to get them started on their new chapter in business.
As a Notary Public, the state of Nevada has Statutory Fees and the fees are used whenever performing General Notary Work (GNW). The fees are different as a LSA or an NSA.
Accepted Forms of Payment for General Notary Work: Cash, Check, Zelle, PayPal. I’m sorry. I do not take credit cards because I don’t like the banks taking my very hard-earned money. I am also a Debt Management Associate and therefore, if I preach it, I must also do it! Thank you for understanding!
ALLOWABLE FEES Per the Nevada Secretary of State for the period of 7/1/2023 thru 6/30/2027:
Do I have to post the fees?
If you are going to charge, you must post the fees. If you don’t charge fees, you don’t have to post the fees (see NRS 240.110).
What may I charge? Current Fees as of July 1, 2021 (see NRS 240.100)
For taking an acknowledgment, for the first signature of each signer | $15.00 |
For each additional signature of each signer | $7.50 |
For administering an oath or affirmation without a signature | $7.50 |
For certifying a copy | $7.50 |
For Executing a Jurat for each signature on the affidavit | $15.00 |
As a Notary Signing Agent (NSA), also sometimes called a Loan Signing Agent (LSA), the fees are negotiated in advance of accepting any loan signing assignments and it is between the Title Company and the NSA; sometimes between the Lender and the Signing Agent, but that is a little more rare to see. Nothing comes out of the Borrower’s pocket at the time of the signing because the fees are already incorporated into the Title and Escrow Fees. There are only a few instances whereby the Borrower would remit payment directly to the Notary Signing Agent and they are on a case-by-case basis.
